Baseball Game Preview: Channel Islands Raiders vs. Carpinteria Warriors

The Channel Islands Raiders will head out to challenge the Carpinteria Warriors at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

On Saturday, Channel Islands came up short against Kearny and fell 7-4.

Jacob Sanchez was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Steven Pena, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.

Meanwhile, Carpinteria also suffered a loss in their last game, falling to Santa Ynez by a score of 8-3.

Carpinteria has also been struggling recently as they've lost ten of their last 13 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-10 record this season. As for Channel Islands, their loss dropped their record down to 10-10.
