The Monterey Wildcats's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their ninth straight loss. They were beaten by Jackson County 59-24. Monterey has not had much luck with Jackson County recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.

Monterey lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Aiden Roberson-Barber, who scored seven points along with five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Gustavo Galindez, who scored seven points along with six rebounds.

Monterey's defeat dropped their record down to 2-17. As for Jackson County, the victory got them back to even at 8-8.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Monterey will take on Watertown at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Watertown is hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses. As for Jackson County, they will be playing in front of their home fans against York Institute at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
