Basketball Recap: Escondido Has No Trouble Against San Pasqual

Escondido won the last time they faced San Pasqual and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Escondido Cougars were the clear victor by a 45-25 margin over the San Pasqual Golden Eagles. The Cougars have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven contests by 20 points or more this season.

Escondido found their leader in sophomore Maddox Mendoza, who dropped a double-double on 30 points and 14 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Mendoza has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Danny Valadez, who posted nine points and five steals.

Escondido has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-4 record this season. As for San Pasqual, they dropped their record down to 2-16 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home.

Escondido has already played their next match, a 66-58 loss against Ramona on the 24th. As for San Pasqual, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 36-28 defeat against Chula Vista on the 22nd.
