The Southridge Spartans will venture away from home to take on the Braddock Bulldogs at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Southridge's pitching crew has only allowed four runs per game this season, so Braddock's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Southridge played against Homestead on Monday and won via forfeit.

Last Thursday, Braddock sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-3 victory over Hialeah Educational Academy. The Bulldogs haven't had any issues with the Biggie recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Jesus Moreno tossed a big game, tossing five innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off two hits. What's more, he posted five strikeouts, the most he's had since back in March.

On the hitting side, Marcelo Torres was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run and three RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Adam Hernandez, who scored a run while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

The victory (which was Southridge's third in a row) raised their record to 13-9. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.7 runs on average over those games. As for Braddock, their record now sits at 18-6-1.
