Soccer Recap: Downers Grove North Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Downers Grove North fought the good fight in their overtime game against Lyons on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Lions by a score of 2-1. While losing is never fun, Downers Grove North can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois soccer rankings (they are ranked 183rd, while Lyons are ranked 17th).

Downers Grove North's goal came courtesy of Oliver Davies, who's now up to seven this season.

Downers Grove North dropped their record down to 5-8-1 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Lyons, their record now sits at 8-3-2.

Looking ahead, Downers Grove North will be taking part in a tournament against Normal West at 5:45 p.m. on Thursday. As for Lyons, they will be playing at home against Riverside-Brookfield at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
