Soccer Recap: Thornton vs. Northglenn
Thornton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Northglenn Norsemen. The Trojans were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Norsemen apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in August of 2023.
Thornton's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Northglenn, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-2.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Thornton will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against Kennedy at 6:30 p.m. Thornton is facing Kennedy at the right time seeing as Kennedy is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Northglenn, they will venture away from home to challenge Horizon at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Horizon is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3 goals per game this season.
