Volleyball Recap: Sacred Heart Comes Up Short

Sacred Heart was the 3-2 winner over Northwest when they last played one another last Thursday, but their luck changed this time around. The Gremlins fell just short of the Mustangs by a score of 2-1 on Saturday. The Gremlins have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Addison Figge paced Sacred Heart's offense, picking up ten kills. Figge got some help from Ava Judd and her 22 assists. Finally, Molly Brown and Bailee Vogel kept the team grounded on defense, each having blocked six attacks.

Sacred Heart's defeat dropped their record down to 11-10-1. As for Northwest, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-7-2 record this season.

Sacred Heart wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Otterville on the 14th. As for Northwest, they have also already played their next match, a 3-1 victory against Crest Ridge on the 13th.
