Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Boaz). They never let the Cleburne County Tigers get on the board and left with a 10-0 victory on Saturday. Given the Pirates' advantage in MaxPreps' Alabama soccer rankings (they are ranked 45th, while the Tigers are ranked 130th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Boaz's win bumped their record up to 5-2-4. As for Cleburne County, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-4-1.

Boaz didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next contest, a 6-1 victory against Talladega on the 8th. Cleburne County has also already played their next match (against Hartselle), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
