Basketball Game Preview: Woodland Dragons vs. Washington Academy Raiders

The Woodland Dragons will square off against the Washington Academy Raiders at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Woodland has now lost 11 straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since December 17.

It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 86-17, which was the final score in Woodland's tilt against Penobscot Valley on Thursday. The match marked the Dragons' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Meanwhile, Washington Academy came up short against Old Town on Saturday and fell 47-39. While losing is never fun, the Raiders can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Maine basketball rankings (they are ranked 55th, while the Coyotes are ranked tenth).

Woodland's defeat dropped their record down to 1-13. As for Washington Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-9.
