Soccer Game Preview: Hoover vs. Glendale

The Hoover Tornados will take on the Glendale Nitros at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday.

Hoover managed to keep up with Pasadena until halftime on Thursday, but things quickly went downhill from there. Hoover lost 3-0 to Pasadena. While losing is never fun, the Tornados can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 408th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 26th).

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Glendale, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. Their defense stepped up to hand Muir a 2-0 shutout on Monday. The victory was some much needed relief for the Nitros as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Hoover's loss dropped their record down to 7-5-2. As for Glendale, the win got them back to even at 7-7-4.
