After a string of three wins, Bedford's good fortune finally ran out on Wednesday. They fell just short of the Philipsburg-Osceola Mountaineers by a score of 8-7. If the Bisons were looking for revenge after losing 6-4 to the Mountaineers when the teams met back in May of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Owen Tedrow was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Owen Taylor, who went 1-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.

Bedford's defeat dropped their record down to 9-5. As for Philipsburg-Osceola, their win bumped their record up to 10-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bedford will square off against Penn Cambria at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Philipsburg-Osceola, they will face off against Penns Valley Area at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Mountaineers are facing the Rams at the right time seeing as the Rams are stuck on a 14-game losing streak.
