Softball Recap: Gibraltar Comes Up Short

Gibraltar was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against the Lake Mills L-Cats, falling 20-5.

Gibraltar saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Courtney Foy, who went 1-for-2 with three RBI. Pamela Prescott was another, scoring a run while getting on base in both of her plate appearances.

Gibraltar's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Lake Mills, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-1.

Gibraltar has already played their next matchup, a 21-20 loss against Black River Falls on the 5th. As for Lake Mills, they will head out to challenge Jefferson at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the L-Cats 3.2, the Eagles 1.2) so any runs scored will be well earned.
