Softball Recap: Oak Ridge Comes Up Short

The scorekeeper got an easy start on Thursday as neither Oak Ridge nor Waller made it on the board until the fifth inning. The War Eagles fell just short of the Bulldogs by a score of 4-3. The War Eagles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bulldogs apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Oak Ridge's defeat dropped their record down to 5-2. As for Waller, they now have a winning record of 4-3.

Oak Ridge has already played their next game, a 13-0 loss against Lake Creek on the 19th. As for Waller, they will take on Montgomery in a tournament on Friday. The Bears' pitching crew has only allowed 3.7 runs per game this season, so the Bulldogs' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
