Softball Game Preview: Coleman Cougars vs. Auburndale Eagles

The Coleman Cougars are taking a road trip to square off against the Auburndale Eagles at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Auburndale took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Coleman, who comes in off a win.

Coleman is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. They blew past Bowler/Gresham Community 13-0. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Cougars.

Meanwhile, while it was Auburndale who put the first runs on the board on Thursday, it was Eleva-Strum who put up more. The Eagles fell just short of the Cardinals by a score of 3-2. The game marked the Eagles' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Auburndale saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Danika Blomberg, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one double and one RBI.

Auburndale's defeat ended an eight-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 18-5. As for Coleman, their win bumped their record up to 10-12.
