Ivan Barron Jr Goes Supernova in Cibola Victory
Thanks in part to Ivan Barron Jr, Cibola said goodbye to their five-game losing streak dating back to last season. Barron Jr turned in nothing short of a gem on Friday, picking up 110 receiving yards and three touchdowns. He didn't just play on offense: he also defended a pass and snagged an interception.
Cibola's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-4. Barron Jr and Cibola will challenge Gila Ridge at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Cibola's five-game losing streak dating back to last season is now nothing but a memory thanks in part to Carter Rutledge. Rutledge was dynamite on Friday, throwing for 205 yards and four touchdowns.

West Point Gets a Boost from Plott in 49-38 Defeat
West Point was sadly handed a loss on Friday, but Marcus Plott did his best to prevent it. Plott was unstoppable, picking up 87 receiving yards and three touchdowns.
West Point is on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-6. Plott and West Point will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Kellis at 7:00 p.m. on October 18th.

Isaiah Smith Makes It Two for West Point
Another West Point player making an appearance on this list is Isaiah Smith. He rushed for 141 yards while picking up 7.8 yards per carry. His rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his fifth straight game with at least 112 rushing yards dating back to last season.
Smith must have Cibola's number; he was a force to be reckoned with the last time he faced them too. When Smith last faced the Raiders back in October of 2023, he rushed for 119 yards and a touchdown.

Cibola's Losing Streak Is No More Thanks to Messiah Mais
Messiah Mais helped snap Cibola's five-game losing streak dating back to last season. Mais was unstoppable on Friday, picking up 45 receiving yards and a touchdown, while also punching in a touchdown on the ground.
If the past is any indication, Mais could be in store for another big game when he takes on Gila Ridge on Friday. When Mais last faced the Hawks back in September of 2023, he rushed for 243 yards and three touchdowns on only ten carries.
