Volleyball Recap: Van Buren Beats Kenton for Their Third Straight Victory + How To Watch

Van Buren entered their tilt with Kenton on Tuesday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They blew past the Wildcats 3-0. That's more bragging rights for the Black Knights, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

While Van Buren won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-23, 25-10.

Selma Brant paced Van Buren's offense, picking up 16 kills. Brant got some help from Lydia Ponn and her 33 assists. Ponn was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Van Buren's victory bumped their record up to 8-2. As for Kenton, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-6 record this season.

Van Buren will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Riverdale at 6:30 p.m. As for Kenton, they are taking a road trip to take on Bath at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
