Baseball Recap: Mashpee Comes Up Short

Mashpee was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They took a 5-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Dennis-Yarmouth Regional Dolphins. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Dolphins this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 10-4 back in April.

Mashpee saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was James Serafini, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI.

Mashpee's loss dropped their record down to 7-12. As for Dennis-Yarmouth Regional, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 11-10.

Mashpee does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Dennis-Yarmouth Regional, they will square off against Carver at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
