Volleyball Recap: Central Comes Up Short

Central lost against Nixa back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Bulldogs lost 3-0 to the Eagles. The Bulldogs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-5, 25-17.

Zella Gosnell paced Central's offense, picking up five kills. Gosnell got some help from Anges Werner-Click and her ten assists. Gosnell was also a major player on defense: she and Natalie Kellum shared the team lead in blocks, finishing with two each.

Central's defeat dropped their record down to 6-12-3. As for Nixa, they pushed their record up to 18-9 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home.

Central wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Lutheran on the 10th. As for Nixa, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Greenwood on the 10th.
