After flying high against Desert Pines last Friday, Durango came back down to earth. The Durango Trailblazers lost to the Clark Chargers on the road by a 28-12 margin on Thursday. The Trailblazers were probably out for revenge after losing 19-13 to them when the teams met back in January of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Durango's loss came despite strong showings from Yarih Carrillo and Taylor Anderson. Carrillo rushed for 83 yards on only ten carries, while Anderson picked up 105 receiving yards and one touchdown. Anderson was even better on defense, picking up a sack, making nine total tackles, and defending four passes in addition to snagging an interception which she returned one-yard for a touchdown.

Leading Clark to victory were Tianna Griffith and Taedyn Parks. Griffith gained 158 total yards and two touchdowns, while Parks threw for 197 yards and three touchdowns. That's the most passing yards Parks has posted since back in December of 2023. A healthy portion of Parks' aerial production (87 yards to be exact) went to Annika Griffith, who also brought in a receiving touchdown.

Durango's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Clark, their record now sits at 6-15.

Durango will host Amplus Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Clark, they will venture away from home to square off against Mojave at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Mojave is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 27.9 points per game this season.
