Volleyball Recap: Hastings Takes Loss Despite Strong Efforts from Lydia Choate and Lily Sorgenfrei

Hastings was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bennington Badgers. The Tigers were not able to make up for their defeat to the Badgers from their previous meeting back in September of 2024.

The final score came out to 25-11, 25-21.

Lily Sorgenfrei and Lydia Choate certainly did their best on Saturday to avoid the loss. Sorgenfrei had four digs and two aces, while Choate had three aces.

Hastings' loss dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Bennington, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-4.

Coincidentally, Hastings and Bennington will both be playing Blair the next time they take the court. The Tigers will host the Bears at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, while the Badgers will play them later in the day, at 11:00 a.m.
