Baseball Game Preview: Carlson Marauders vs. Whiteford Bobcats

The Carlson Marauders will head out on the road to face off against the Whiteford Bobcats at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Carlson will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each matchup than the last.

Having struggled with four losses in a row, Carlson turned things around against Airport on Saturday. They put the hurt on the Jets with a sharp 12-5 victory. Considering the Marauders have won 12 contests by more than five runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Noah Borowski was incredible, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. Carlson is undefeated when Borowski posts two or more runs, but 9-16 otherwise. Joe Borowski was another key player, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with two runs and two doubles.

Carlson hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least three batters in three consecutive games.

Meanwhile, Whiteford was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of Dexter.

Carlson now has a winning record of 17-16. As for Whiteford, their loss dropped their record down to 17-8.
