Basketball Recap: Twin Loup Piles Up the Points Against Brady

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Stuart, Twin Loup was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They claimed a resounding 71-36 victory over the Brady Eagles. That looming 71-36 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Wolves yet this season.

Leading Twin Loup to victory were Jackson Hall and Yahya Harris. Hall went 8 for 10 on his way to 19 points and eight rebounds, while Harris went 7 of 12 on his way to 19 points in addition to six assists and three steals. Harris' evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Henry Sortum, who posted nine points and three steals.

Twin Loup smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 15 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive boards in four consecutive matchups.

Brady's loss came despite strong showings from Braylon Mcbride and Canin Golter. Mcbride put up ten points, while Golter posted six points. What's more, Golter also racked up two steals, the most he's had since back in December of 2023.

Twin Loup's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Brady, their defeat was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-4.

Twin Loup didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 77-45 victory against Palmer on the 17th. Brady will take on Maywood/Hayes Center in a holiday battle at at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
