Basketball Recap: Lakeside Comes Up Short

Lakeside lost against Bennington back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Knights were outmatched by the Bulldogs and fell 58-17. The Knights were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 43-8.

Despite the loss, Lakeside still got an impressive performance from Addison Schmitt, who posted nine points.

Lakeside now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Bennington, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lakeside will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Logan on January 6, 2026. Bennington will take on Remington in a holiday battle on Friday. The Broncos' defense has only allowed 14.4 points per game this season, so the Bulldogs' offense will have their work cut out for them.
