Soccer Game Preview: Silverdale Academy vs. Chattanooga Prep

The Silverdale Academy Seahawks are taking a road trip to challenge the Chattanooga Prep Sentinels at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Chattanooga Prep will have to contend with a Silverdale Academy team hungry for a victory, something the squad hasn't seen since March 8. Neither Silverdale Academy nor Tyner Academy could gain the upper hand on Monday so the two teams had to settle for a 2-2 draw. The win was a breath of fresh air for Silverdale Academy as it put an end to their eight-game losing streak.

Meanwhile, Chattanooga Prep had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5 goals) and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Panthers a 9-0 shutout. Given Chattanooga Prep's advantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee soccer rankings (they are ranked 114th, while Sale Creek are ranked 249th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Chattanooga Prep's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-4. Those home wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those three matches. With that draw, Silverdale Academy's record moves to 1-10-1.
