Chico waltzed into their contest on Wednesday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They put the hurt on the Red Bluff Spartans with a sharp 4-1 victory. That's two games straight that the Panthers have won by exactly three goals.

Chico is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-4-2 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 29 goals over those eight matchups. As for Red Bluff, their defeat ended a seven-game streak of away wins and brought them to 14-8.

Chico is taking a road trip to take on Pleasant Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Pleasant Valley is on a three-game streak of home wins, Chico a four-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the pitch. As for Red Bluff, they will challenge Foothill at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Red Bluff's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.
