Recap: Owyhee Braves vs. Carlin Railroaders
In what's become a running theme this season, the Owyhee Braves gave their fans yet another huge win on Tuesday. They claimed a resounding 61-14 victory over Carlin at home. The win made it back-to-back wins for Owyhee.
Dishaun George-Smith was his usual excellent self, scoring 28 points. Bisaapi Melendez was another key contributor, scoring 14 points.
Owyhee is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season. As for Carlin, they have not been sharp recently as the team's lost 11 of their last 12 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-19 record this season.
Owyhee will look to defend their home court on Thursday against McDermitt at 5:30 p.m. Hopefully McDermitt focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 13 last Friday. Carlin is on the road again on Thursday and plays Wells at 7:30 p.m. on February 8th. Carlin is facing Wells at the right time seeing as Wells is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
