Softball Recap: Hattiesburg Comes Up Short

Hattiesburg lost against Terry last Tuesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Hattiesburg fell 10-7 to Terry. The Tigers' loss continues a trend for the squad, making it five in a row.

Kylee Andrews made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole two bases while going 3-for-4. She is also on a roll when it comes to triples, as she's now hit at least one in each of the last three games she's played. Darriyah Walls was another key player, going 1-for-4 with one stolen base and two RBI.

Hattiesburg's defeat dropped their record down to 8-7. As for Terry, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 5-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hattiesburg will venture away from home to challenge Perry Central at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Hattiesburg's pitchers better be ready for this one: Perry Central has averaged an impressive 8.2 runs per game this season. As for Terry, they will head out on the road to take on Raymond at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
