Volleyball Recap: Westfield Triumphs

While Westfield's win against Chicopee wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Bombers sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 victory over the Pacers on Friday. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Bombers as it put an end to their three-match losing streak.

Westfield was staring down a 2-1 deficit headed into the fourth set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 23-25, 17-25, 25-17, 17-15.

Westfield's victory bumped their record up to 5-10. As for Chicopee, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-11.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Westfield will host Longmeadow at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Chicopee, they will be playing at home against Easthampton/Hampshire at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
