They put the hurt on the Illinois Lutheran Chargers with a sharp 14-4 victory. The high-scoring effort was just what Gardner-South Wilmington needed considering they were shutout in their previous match.

Cole Hampson was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out seven over five innings pitched. Hampson was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, four RBI, and two runs.
