After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Cocke County, Grainger was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They never let the Volunteer Falcons onto the board and left with a 1-0 win. The Grizzlies' winning goal came courtesy of Sadie Cooper.
Grainger pushed their record up to 5-8 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. As for Volunteer, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-10-1 record this season.
Grainger wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next contest, a 9-0 defeat against Greeneville on the 10th. Volunteer does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
