Soccer Game Preview: Blue Valley North vs. Notre Dame de Sion

The Blue Valley North Mustangs will face off against the Notre Dame de Sion Storm at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Blue Valley North has four straight victories, Notre Dame de Sion has five straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the pitch.

On Tuesday, Blue Valley North beat Blue Valley Northwest 4-2. Given Blue Valley North's advantage in MaxPreps' Kansas soccer rankings (they are ranked first, while Blue Valley Northwest are ranked 41st) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Tuesday just wasn't the day for Notre Dame de Sion's offense. They fell just short of St. Teresa's Academy by a score of 1-0 on Tuesday.

Blue Valley North's win bumped their record up to 10-1. As for Notre Dame de Sion, they now have a losing record of 7-8.

Everything went Blue Valley North's way against Notre Dame de Sion when the teams last played back in May of 2024, as Blue Valley North made off with a 6-0 victory. Will the Mustangs repeat their success, or do the Storm have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
