Travis has gone a perfect 5-0 against Eastside Early College recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Rebels will take on the Panthers at 7:30 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Last Friday, Travis made easy work of Luling and carried off a 34-8 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Rebels.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Eastside Early College, who bounced back after a loss on the road two weeks ago. They blew past John Paul II 56-6 last Thursday. The result was nothing new for the Panthers, who have now won three games by 26 points or more so far this season.

Travis better keep an eye on Khristo Bryant. He was instrumental in Eastside Early College's win, rushing for 71 yards and three TDs on only six carries. Khrisshawn Bryant helped out on the ground, rushing for 87 yards.

Eastside Early College was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 386 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 237 rushing yards every time they've taken the field this season.

Eastside Early College didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Michael Thompson. Another thorn in John Paul II's side was Cedric Mitchell, who made seven total tackles (4.0 for loss).

Eastside Early College's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Travis, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.

Everything came up roses for Travis against Eastside Early College in their previous matchup back in September of 2024, as the team secured a 55-8 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Rebels since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
