Inter-County - Silver recap Nov. 7, 2012
Juniata Valley extended the longest winning streak in Inter-County - Silver this week by beating Huntingdon, 47-7. This was the team's sixth consecutive win.
Glendale moved up to 375 from 401 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. The Vikings climbed the ranks as a result of beating Ferndale 40-0.
Brett Grissinger was the most productive running back in the league this week. In 17 carries, he ran for 241 yards as Juniata Valley fell to West Branch. Teammate Jesse Claar added to the ground attack by rushing for 70 yards.
Snyder was the best wideout in Inter-County - Silver this week as the Blue Pirates lost to the Warriors. Snyder tallied one reception for 49 yards. Caleb Morrissey helped Williamsburg's passing attack out by catching four balls for 34 yards.
Eric Husick put up the best numbers through the air as Tussey Mountain topped Meyersdale. He finished with a total of six completions for 94 yards and one touchdown. Husick's favorite target this week was Tyler Runk, who caught one pass for 35 yards.
6-foot-1 quarterback Tanner Dipko of Moshannon Valley is the league leader in passing yards this season with 1318. He has also thrown eight touchdowns. On the ground, Mike Smith's team's Grissinger has rushed for 1357 yards which leads the league. The leading receiver in the league this season is Devin Weyandt. The Claysburg-Kimmel star has 47 catches for 814 yards.
In 118 carries Darrin Sipes has accumulated 967 yard this year.
The Hornets took down the Bearcats 47-7 last week, the largest margin of any game. Grissinger caught one passes for nine yards in the win.
