Volleyball Recap: Animas Takes a Loss

Animas was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Cloudcroft Bears. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bears this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 two weeks ago.

While Animas was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the second set. The final score came out to 25-18, 25-22, 25-14.

Animas' defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Cloudcroft, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-3 record this season.

Animas wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Hondo Valley on the 13th. As for Cloudcroft, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Lordsburg on the 13th.
