St. Anthony took a loss when they played away from home on Wednesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They claimed a resounding 105-42 victory over Serra. The Saints' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Meanwhile, St. Paul beat Serra 55-48 on Wednesday. Given the Swordsmen's advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 129th, while the Cavaliers are ranked 544th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

St. Paul's win bumped their record up to 11-8. As for St. Anthony, their victory bumped their record up to 10-6.

St. Anthony was able to grind out a solid win over St. Paul when the teams last played back in January of 2024, winning 74-65. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was St. Paul's William Bryson, who posted 30 points.
