Softball Recap: Knox Central Panthers vs. Williamsburg Yellow Jackets
Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Knox Central). They were the clear victors by a 20-2 margin over the Williamsburg Yellow Jackets on Thursday. The Panthers haven't had any issues with the Yellow Jackets recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.

Blakely Castle made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. Those six strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double.
In other batting news, Sydney Grubb was a standout: she went a perfect 3-for-3 with two triples, two runs, and two RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in May of 2024. Jayme Swafford was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-2.
