Softball Recap: Duncan Takes a Loss

If Duncan was feeling good fresh off their 23-1 takedown of Palo Verde on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Wildkats came up short against the Hayden Lobos on Wednesday, falling 22-13. The Wildkats were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Lobos apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in March of 2025.

Sofia Harris and Sierra Chamberlin stepped up to the plate in a big way. Harris went 3-for-5 with one triple and one double, while Chamberlin got on base in four of her seven plate appearances with two doubles.

Duncan's loss dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Hayden, the win got them back to even at 4-4.

Looking ahead, Duncan will face off against Valley Union at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Hayden, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 15-0 victory against San Manuel on the 27th.
