League recap: Trinity win leads to rise in state rank

Trinity moved up to 530 from 576 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in North Coast - White. The Trojans were able to make the jump by beating Villa Angela-St. Joseph 46-14.

Cleveland Central Catholic and St. Peter Chanel played the most hotly contested game in the league this week, with Cleveland Central Catholic eventually emerging with a 12-6 victory.

Trinity's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Trojans feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Pat Sobolewski has thrown for 480 yards and three touchdowns this season, while Griffin Filippi has 14 catches for 221 yards. Matt Iacobucci leads the league in rushing with 309 yards.

A big matchup in North Coast - White this week will be when John F. Kennedy takes on Trinity. At the moment, the Eagles are in first, while Jeff McSweeney 's team is in third.

The Trojans led the league in scoring this week after putting up 46 points on the Vikings. Iacobucci threw for 126 yards and one touchdown and ran for 175 yards in the win.
