Basketball Recap: Dillingham Wolverines vs. Nelson Island Islanders
The Dillingham Wolverines scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They walked away with a 38-26 victory over Nelson Island. That looming 38-26 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Dillingham yet this season.
Despite the loss, Nelson Island still got an impressive performance from Rebecca Tulik, who scored six points. The team also got some help courtesy of Benita Charlie, who scored seven points.
Dillingham has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 3-4 record this season. As for Nelson Island, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-5.
Dillingham does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Nelson Island will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against the Huskies at 9:00 a.m. on February 3rd. Emmonak is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
