Volleyball Recap: Port Edwards Takes a Loss

Port Edwards suffered their biggest loss since October 17, 2024 on Tuesday. They lost 3-0 to the Rosholt Hornets. The Blackhawks have struggled against the Hornets recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-12, 25-20.

Port Edwards' offense was headlined by Elise Irwin and McKenzy Smith, who picked up five kills apiece. They got some help from Taylin McDonald and her nine assists. Hayden Kleifgen controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Port Edwards' defeat dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Rosholt, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 4-2.

Coming up, Port Edwards will face off against Marion at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Rosholt, they will square off against Lomira at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
