Basketball Recap: Carrollton Extends Road Winning Streak to Five

Carrollton lost to Indian Creek back in January of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Monday. The Carrollton Warriors snuck past the Indian Creek Redskins with a 47-42 victory. The win was nothing new for the Warriors as they're now sitting on three straight.

Several Redskins players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Mckenna Scott, who went 6 of 12 en route to 17 points along with seven assists and three steals. Scott is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last 30 games she's played dating back to last season. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaydence Walker, who posted eight points in addition to five assists and five boards.

Carrollton's victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-3. As for Indian Creek, they moved to 8-7 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Carrollton will head out to square off against Salem at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Indian Creek, they will square off against Union Local at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday.
