Baseball Recap: Madison-Ridgeland Academy Takes a Loss

Madison-Ridgeland Academy was the 6-5 winner over Presbyterian Christian when they last played one another back in April of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Patriots fell 9-4 to the Bobcats on Tuesday.

Reid Gandy made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with one home run. Another player making a difference was Gunnar Swanson, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4.

Madison-Ridgeland Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 11-10. As for Presbyterian Christian, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-8 record this season.

While Madison-Ridgeland Academy had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
