Saugus hasn't had much luck against Swampscott recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Sachems will be playing in front of their home fans against the Big Blue at 6:30 p.m. Saugus has given up an average of 25.8 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Saugus is headed into the contest out to prove that what happened against Gloucester on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Sachems came up short against the Fishermen, falling 33-8. The Sachems were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 21-0.

Meanwhile, Swampscott won against Gloucester last Friday with 28 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Friday. The Big Blue came out on top against Winthrop by a score of 28-20. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Big Blue.

Saugus' loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Swampscott, their victory bumped their record up to 4-2.
