The Elbert County Blue Devils will square off against the Commerce Tigers at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Elbert County is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.9 goals per game this season.

If Commerce heads into halftime all tied up, they better play a good second half: that's when Elbert County took over last week. Elbert County had just enough and edged out Barrow Arts and Sciences Academy 2-1 on Tuesday. The Blue Devils haven't had any issues with Barrow Arts and Sciences Academy recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Victoria Medellin and Melanie Badillo scored both of Elbert County's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 13 goals.

Meanwhile, Commerce fell victim to Athens Academy and their airtight defense on Tuesday. They came up short against the Spartans, falling 7-0.

Commerce's loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-4. As for Elbert County, their win bumped their record up to 5-2.

Elbert County came out on top in a nail-biter against Commerce in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, sneaking past 2-1. Will Elbert County repeat their success, or does Commerce have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
