Basketball Recap: Peach County Takes a Loss

Peach County played a tough contest on Saturday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They came up short against the Bainbridge Bearcats, falling 52-32. The Trojans were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Bearcats earlier this season, when they won 39-33.

Bainbridge was led to victory by Ahleah Jones and Kyra Green. Jones posted 14 points and six steals, while Green went 5 for 12 en route to 10 points in addition to eight rebounds and five steals. Bainbridge is undefeated when Green posts three or more steals, but 5-11 otherwise. Ta'Liyah Ausgood was another key player, putting up 11 points.

Peach County has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-14 record this season. As for Bainbridge, their win bumped their record up to 10-11.

Peach County has already played their next game, a 55-28 defeat against Monroe on the 4th. As for Bainbridge, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 47-37 loss against Dougherty on the 4th.
