Softball Recap: Beavercreek Beavers vs. Northmont Thunderbolts
Beavercreek was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 15-7 to the Northmont Thunderbolts. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Thunderbolts this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 8-3 last Monday.
Viera Barrett was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with one home run and one double. Another player making a difference was Annessa Stamper, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.
Beavercreek's defeat dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Northmont, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 4-4.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Beavercreek will take on Loveland at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Northmont, they will challenge Springfield at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Wildcats will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each contest than the last.
