It was a good run, but Jordan unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Friday. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 58-57 to the Cinco Ranch Cougars. While losing is never fun, the Warriors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 223rd, while the Cougars are ranked 82nd).

Aniya' Foy continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Cinco Ranch, putting up 25 points along with seven boards and four steals. That makes it nine consecutive games in which Foy has scored at least a third of Cinco Ranch's points. Camille Torrence was another key player, posting 13 points.

Jordan's defeat dropped their record down to 15-11. As for Cinco Ranch, the win was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 21-5.

Jordan has already played their next matchup (against Seven Lakes), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Cinco Ranch Cougars take on the Paetow Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Cinco Ranch knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past six games -- so hopefully Paetow likes a good challenge.
