Centralia waltzed into their matchup on Friday with 16 straight wins... but they left with 17. They were the clear victor by a 60-37 margin over the Cahokia Comanches. The Orphans have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 games by 23 points or more this season.

When it comes to explaining why Cahokia lost, don't look at Cornelius Griffin. Despite the final result, he went 5 for 6 to rack up 12 points. Griffin continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Elijah Little, who posted eight points.

Centralia's win was their 13th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 23-3. As for Cahokia, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-16 record this season.

Looking ahead, Centralia and Salem will face off at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played. As for Cahokia, they are taking a road trip to face off against Springfield at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
