Soccer Recap: Hertford County Takes a Loss

Hertford County lost against Currituck County on October 1st and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Bears lost 9-0 to the Knights. While losing is never fun, Hertford County can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 570th, while Currituck County are ranked 255th).

This is the second loss in a row for Hertford County and nudges their season record down to 1-6. As for Currituck County, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-8-2.

Hertford County didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next match, a 9-2 defeat against Northeastern on the 22nd. As for Currituck County, they have also already played their next matchup, a 7-0 victory against Pasquotank County on the 23rd.
