Recap: Marion County Knights vs. Adair County Indians
The Marion County Knights's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their 13th straight loss. They fell 58-46 to Adair County. Marion County has struggled against Adair County recently, as their game on Friday was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.
Adair County's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Connor Loy, who scored 12 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Dawson Gilbert, who scored 11 points.
Marion County dropped their record down to 3-18 with that defeat, which was their seventh straight on the road. As for Adair County, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 20-4 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Marion County will take on Highlands Latin at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Adair County, they will be playing at home against Barren County at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Adair County knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past 24 matches -- so hopefully Barren County likes a good challenge.
